About

Who is Matt Shill?

Matt Shill is a professional musician and educator with over 15 years of experience teaching students of all ages — from complete beginners to conservatory-bound performers.He holds a dual degree in Piano and Guitar Performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami and began his early training at the Eastman School of Music. A multi-instrumentalist, Matt teaches piano, guitar, voice, bass, and drums, blending formal technique with creativity, confidence-building, and real-world music skills.His students have gone on to attend top programs like Juilliard, Berklee, Manhattan School of Music, and Full Sail University. He’s also helped younger students write original music, master advanced sight reading, and release professional-grade recordings — even in high school.Beyond teaching, Matt is a songwriter, recording engineer, and performer with over 1 million streams on his debut album. He brings that same professional care and passion into every lesson, helping students grow not just as musicians, but as artists.
